Wisdom Of The Heart: Women And
Heart Disease Most people think of heart disease as a man's disease,
it is in fact a leading killer of women. Wisdom Of The Heart is a compelling
documentary that challenges the myths of women's immunity, shows how
heart disease manifests itself differently in women, and how it can
be prevented. The film shows certain diagnostic biases have resulted
in women being misdiagnosed, treatment being delayed, and until very
recently, women being left out of research trials altogether. Interviews
women who have undergone by-pass surgery and open-heart surgery and
shows how heart disease affects the whole family and changes their lives.
