Frequently Asked Questions

How can I place an order ONLINE?
To place an order from any of our product pages using our secure shopping cart system, simply click the "ADD TO CART" link next to any product.

Please note that, due to shipping requirements, the BELL Bicycle Safety Helmet Product Cart is separate from the Health & Wellness Multimedia Cart. If you wish to purchase both, you must go through the checkout process twice, once for each cart. We apologize for the inconvenience.

  • You may view the items you have in your cart at any time by clicking the "VIEW CART" link on any product page.
  • When you ADD an item, or VIEW CART, simply click the "Close Window to Continue Shopping" link at the top of the shopping cart page to return to the page you were on.
  • To remove an item from the cart or to change the quantity desired, change the number in the quantity box to the number desired, or to remove change it to zero (0), then click the "RECALCULATE" button near the bottom of the page. Do this for each item that you wish to change, or do all of the changes at once.
  • If you decide not to order at all, please remove the items from the cart before leaving to insure smooth operation.
  • If you are ordering from the State of Florida, and your company is Tax Exempt, please include your Tax ID number in the cart. Otherwise, tax will be charged.

Can I preview a program before I purchase it?
A Full deposit, on a credit card, of the video’s full retail value will be required. If a previewed item is purchased, its deposit will be applied towards its purchase price. Deposit of items not purchased within 30 days is refundable, but there is a $20.00 restocking fee. Programs not purchased must be returned within the 30-day viewing period. Extensions are available upon request. Buyer is also responsible for the safe return of previewed items. Therefore, it is recommended to return the materials via an insured carrier for the full retail value, by traceable means (UPS, Registered Mail, etc.), and have a copy of the invoice enclosed. Items returned must be in same condition as received. Shipping and handling charges are nonrefundable.

Programs and accompanying materials are COPYRIGHTED and must be used for purchase consideration only. Programs and materials must not be duplicated, used for training purposes or exhibition to anyone other than purchase decision-makers.

Can I return an item after I purchased it?
With the exception of items starting with prefix MF and a few others, most items purchased can be returned. Please call a UHC representative prior to returning an item. A 25%, or a minimum of $20, restocking fee applies to any items returned after purchase. Items must be returned no later than 3 days from receipt of shipment. Items kept for more than 3 days from receipt of shipment WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED; buyer will be responsible for payment in full. Buyer is responsible for the safe return of unwanted items. Therefore, it is recommended to return the materials via an insured carrier for the full retail value, by traceable means (UPS, Registered Mail, etc.), and have a copy of the invoice enclosed, showing return authorization number. Items returned must be in new, resalable condition. Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. Programs and accompanying materials received are COPYRIGHTED and must not be duplicated.

Can your programs be used on my institution's Closed Circuit Television System?
All customers who wish to use any UHC's programs over a closed circuit or other system must pay a license fee and sign a license agreement. Please contact UHC for more information.

What terms of payment are accepted?

Individuals
For orders placed online, only a Credit Card will be accepted. For mail orders, UHC accepts credit card, prepayment by cashier's check or personal check. Allow 7 business days for personal check clearance before shipment can take place. Prices, specifications and terms of sale are subject to change without notice.

Instituitions
For orders placed online, a Credit Card or Purchase Order will be accepted. For mail orders, UHC accepts credit card, prepayment by company check, or Purchase Order/Net 30 days. Prioces, specifications and terms of sale are subject to change without notice.

What do I do if I receive a defective item?
Simply notify us at 1-800-229-1842 within 5 days business days of receipt of your order, and UHC will replace any defective materials free of charge.

How long will it take to receive materials ordered?
Your order will be processed the same day it is received. Normally, materials are shipped via Priority Mail. With a few exceptions, you can expect your order to arrive in about two to three weeks. If you require faster delivery, we will ship via Express Mail per your instructions and bill you any additional shipping.

Are your programs available with closed captions?
Many of programs have been closed-captioned for the hearing impaired community. Please call UHC to find out if the program you need has been closed-captioned.

Are your programs available in Spanish or other languages?
Many of our programs are available in the Spanish language. In addition, a small collection of programs are available in Vietnamese, Laotian, Cambodian, Portuguese, Hmong, and Italian. Some of our programs can be customized and translated into most languages. Please inquire about separate translation and customization costs.

Are your programs available in International formats?
UHC can supply any titles in all digital formats. PAL and SECAM formats are available upon request.. An additional charge may apply.

Can your programs be personalized or customized?
UHC can customize any program as desired, so long as it does not alter the contents of the program. Customization will be billed at cost. Please call UHC to get a quote.

Are there any discounts for bulk orders?
Yes. UHC accepts bulk orders. Substantial discounts will be applied to bulk orders of the same item, depending on the quantity ordered. Fixed discounts will also be applied to orders of $2,000 or more!

Can our institution take advantage of other discounts offered by UHC?
Yes. Here are a few other ways to get discounts of products ordered. Only one discount at a time applies.

Viewing Club: Depending on your budget, your institution can subscribe to different levels of the UHC Viewing Club. Discounts will be applied based on the number of programs you commit to purchase per year. Agencies with additional subsidiaries throughout the United States can participate under the same umbrella. Many Viewing Club programs are provided with additional teaching tools, such as, Healthy Rewards brochure (program highlights & quiz), Fact Sheets, Health Tips Calendar, and more. Please call UHC for more details.

Institutional Membership: Participating institutions will have the option to choose from our extensive library, a list of programs which would apply to their projects and promote the acquisition of these programs throughout the year as follows:

  • 05-09 programs/year = 5%
  • 10-20 programs/year = 7%
  • 21-99 programs/year = 10%
  • Large Odd Orders: Discounts will be applied to orders of $3,000.00 or more.

Do any of your programs come with teaching aids?
Yes. Teaching Guides, Story Books, Learning Objectives, Learning Activities, Before-After Knowledge Quiz, Laser-sharp, copier handout masters and other materials accompany some programs. Extra charges may apply for some of these materials.

UHC publishes several catalogs, which focus on particular topics. When ordering, please specify topics of interest. There are several ways for you to request a free product catalog.

How will I know if you have received my online order?
Shortly after your order is submitted you will receive an e-mail confirmation that UHC has received your order.

How are shipping charges charges calculated?
For media orders, there will be a charge of $8 for the first item and $4 for each additional item. For Helmets, there will be a charge of $8 per helmet. These charges apply to orders shipped within the Continental United States. All other, please call 1-561-731-5881 to obtain a quote.
