Management The 3 R's
This new video will help you educate patients about pain management,
which is now part of the JCAHO standards. The video reviews the benefits
of pain management and describes various pain measurement scales and
ways of describing pain. Whether the patient has chronic or acute
pain, or pain related to injury, surgery, or cancer, you can use this
video to begin discussion. Pain assessment, treatment, reassessment,
and adjustment of the treatment plan are all covered in this video.
It also introduces the psychological component of pain management.
The video provides practical guidelines for developing a pain management
plan and helps both the patient and caregiver establish realistic
goals.
